From the Master Builder workshop of Dan MacPherson (Summerland, BC), we have Macpherson Guitars single cut offering, The Preacher. Featuring world class craftsmanship and features, this guitar is equally comfortable on a stage, in the studio or in a collection.

“The Preacher” is MacPherson's fixed neck single cut model. The feel of this guitar should suit any traditionalist but it also offers the benefits of a 25-inch scale length, compound radius fingerboard (9.5"-16"), comfort carved heel and rear cutaway for easier access to the high frets.

With a hand-carved figured top, traditional cream binding and familiar 4 knob controls layout, the look of this instrument is one of pure elegance. The woods have been hand selected and aged to a perfect degree to enhance stability and resonance. Ultra-light chambered black afara (a korina relative) and highly figured black walnut top scream opulence. The neck heel has been carefully sculpted for high fret access unheard of with traditional set-neck guitars and the modern 25" scale adds some tension/stability to the traditional design. The Jescar stainless steel fretwork is nothing short of astonishing and the comfortable and quick compound radius (9.5-16") plays remarkably easy on top of the solid ebony fretboard.
