Custom neck join for enhanced sustain and playability

There’s a reason for the enduring popularity of basses with bolt-on necks — they sound punchy and quite different from neck-through and set-neck designs. Pick up an Ibanez Premium SR2600, and you’ll experience everything bolt-on construction has to offer. Ibanez has taken the classic design to the next level with their asymmetrical 4-bolt neck join, which not only provides more contact between neck and body for greater stability, vibrational transfer, and sustain, but it also gives you a smooth, tapered neck heel for unrestricted high-register access.

Mono-rail bridge enhances definition and sustain

Ibanez specified their excellent Mono-rail 5 bridge for the Premium SR2600. Unlike single-body bridges, each Mono-rail saddle is completely separate from the others. This does two things for you. First, since they aren’t connected, the saddles create minimal sympathetic vibration. This prevents unused strings from ringing. Second, each saddle is double-anchored, allowing energy to transfer efficiently between the string and the body.
