Ibanez JS1GD Joe Satriani Signature 6 String Electric Guitar Gold Boy Limited Edition

The JS1GD is a solid body electric guitar model introduced by Ibanez for 2025. It is a signature model of American guitarist Joe Satriani and part of the JS Series of guitars. It is produced in Japan in extremely low quantities.

The JS1GD features an alder body with a vibrant gold finish bolted to a maple and bubinga neck with a 24-fret rosewood fingerboard with mother of pearl dot position markers. Pickups are a DiMarzio Satur8 humbucking pickup at the bridge and a single coil Sustainiac driver at the neck. Electronic controls consist of a master volume with push/pull hi-pass filter, a master tone with push/pull Sustainiac switch, a Sustainiac voicing toggle, and a 3-way pickup selector. Hardware components include an Ibanez Edge Original locking tremolo bridge with carbon fiber Ultralite arm, a locking nut, and Gotoh machine heads.

To honor the world-renowned Joe Satriani Signature Series, the Ibanez R&D team worked closely with Joe to develop a finish that was worthy of both Joe's approval, and of the Gold Boy moniker. Each and every JS1 Gold Boy will have passed stringent Ibanez quality control standards, however due to the unique nature of this striking finish, some minor imperfections may be expected, are considered normal.
