This Fender Custom Shop LTD Roasted Tomatillo Strat Relic is a spirited Custom Shop creation based on the 1956 Stratocaster and tweaked for modern players. It features a roasted Alder body and a roasted flame Maple 4A neck with a Soft V shaped profile.

This particular guitar is just in on trade and features a full additional pre-wired pickguard as part of the package. Either can be installed before shipping, you will receive both complete pickguards. The installed (tortoise) guard is loaded with Dimarzio Paul Gilbert Injector Neck & Bridge, with an Area 61 in the middle position. Pots and switch have been upgraded to Dimarzio and wiring is replicated stock wiring from the Tomatillo (Fender 1/2 blender - allows neck/bridge to be played together). Second pickguard is the stock Custom Shop Tomatillo had wound pickups with upgraded Dimarzio pots and switch.

The lacquer finish gives it the look and comfortable playing feel of a well-loved instrument that’s been in service for decades. The 2 color Sunburst finish with Relic treatment gives you a painstakingly recreated and meticulously hand-aged version of a legendary Strat. This guitar has been finished to resemble an instrument that has enjoyed a long life of heavy use. The end result is an instrument that looks like it's been around for a while and plays like a well broken-in instrument, although it is absolutely new in setup and playability.

Equipped with a trio of hand-wound Tomatillo Relic single-coil pickups - including a RWRP middle pickup to reduce hum - this Strat sings with spicy, balanced tone that can make your music come alive in new ways. The 9.5” radius fretboard offers 21 jumbo frets for sublime playing feel.

This guitar is a piece of art that looks like it's got years of stories to tell and is packed with features and hand finished details that can't be truly appreciated until you're holding it in your hands.
