ESP Custom Shop 50th Anniversary Horizon CTM 6 String Electric Guitar Flamed Maple Antique Brown Reverse Burst

ESP was founded as a small guitar shop in Tokyo, Japan in 1975. That makes 2025 our 50th anniversary, and to help commemorate the huge milestone, the master luthiers at the ESP Custom Shop in Japan have created ten very special — and extremely limited — Horizon guitars.

The Horizon is one of the Japanese brand's most iconic models. In this version I, it retains the magnificent lines that made its success. Lightweight body, exceptional comfort, disconcertingly easy access to the treble... the Horizon-I is a versatile model that will delight lovers of modern guitars and big sound.

Entirely handcrafted at Custom Shop Japan, it represents the pinnacle of what the brand can produce thanks to the exceptional attention to detail it benefits from.

This Horizon 50th Anniversary model is limited to 30 pieces worldwide, including only 3 pieces in Antique Brown Reverse Burst.

Master Built, it benefits from the highest possible selection of wood species and the unparalleled know-how of the brand's Custom Shop. It is the top of the top of what the workshop produces. It is built around a 50mm "carved top" body in ultra-light Korina and a 5A flamed maple top. The neck is also in Korina and features a Macassar Ebony fingerboard selected for its figured. It is equipped with Seymour Duncan Custom Shop pickups cut for big sound and an original Floyd Rose with all possible options.

Only one each of the 10 Horizon models — five with flamed maple tops and five with stabilized Buckeye burl tops — have been created, using the finest materials, coveted tone woods, top-tier components, and special creative techniques that only the ESP Custom Shop can offer. Each 50th Anniversary Horizon is supplied with an acrylic stand suitable for displaying, and comes with a Certificate of Authenticity, a special truss rod cover, and a 50th Anniversary pick.

Most importantly: once these ten rare and collectible guitars are gone, they’re gone forever.
